Beginning June 2023, Pluto has modified viewing access for their app. Today, at first run a short 15 second advertisement plays followed by a catchall screen that presents several options to begin watching content.
During the first two times the app is opened three options are presented. Create an Account, Sign-In, or Not Now. Selecting Not Now will allow the user to bypass creating an account.
At the third time the Pluto app is opened, the option for ’Not Now’ will be gone requiring the user to create a free account or sign in.
Creating a free account can be done easily and quickly using either the web or using the TV to create an account.
The process is reset if the entire Apple TV has been reset. You can reset the TV using the Erase and Reset app, or at the end of your stay the TV will be automatically reset, which will also remove any existing login credentials.
